Role purpose

Own and oversee the UK Networks resilience framework with the purpose of ensuring compliance with the Vodafone Technology Resilience Policy to ensure service continuity of the UK networks environment, driving the proper protection and recovery mechanisms and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the application of the Technology Resilience and Backup Policy controls for UK Networks.
• Ensure that valid assessments are made of sites and services criticality, recovery targets and KPIs.
• Track and report on the definition, regular review and testing of plans to recover critical sites/services within agreed recovery targets.
• Ensure that processes are in place for the design and delivery of major changes to sites/services with appropriate resilience.
• Ensure that any third parties required for recovery of critical services have appropriate contractual controls in place.
• Monitor and present reporting to governance forums on the status and plans for policy compliance and on the compliance of critical sites and services against resilience targets.
• Manage awareness and training activities to ensure that the Technology Resilience and Backup Policies are known by all relevant stakeholders.
• Support assurance reviews and self-assessments for UK Networks as required by Group and UK governance frameworks.
• Coordinate external/internal audit demands into UK Networks and subsequent SME engagement.
• Track and report on UK Networks’ compliance against relevant requirements of regulations, accreditations and policy obligations, including GDPR, TSR and ISO 20000.

Who are we looking for?

• Experience of working to service continuity management and/or risk management processes is desirable.
• Knowledge of telecoms networks / IT environments an advantage but not essential.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills, able to assimilate and summarise complex technical issues.
• Strong collaborator, able to build effective working relationships and to lead cross functional virtual teams to deliver results.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to inform, challenge, negotiate and influence both verbally and in writing at all levels of the organisation.
• Experience of developing tracking and reporting using tools such as Sharepoint, Excel and Power BI.
• Knowledge of industry standards, for example ISO22301, ISO27001, ISO 20000, GDPR, TSR an advantage but not essential.
