RF Power Amplifier Designer

Job Description:

In the RF Power business unit, we design RF Power amplifiers for Aerospace and Defense, 5G, and Commercial applications. You will:

• Be responsible for the design, test and release of new, high power and high efficiency RF Power amplifiers.
• Design the transistors, MMICs, IPDs or other internal matching networks, using state-of-the-art simulation tools.
• Initiate and execute prototype builds, load-pull and characterization including designing RF Power characterization fixtures and perform measurements to verify if the product meets customer requirements.
• Work with our Product Engineering group to transfer the product to production.

Job Qualifications:

• Besides your technical skill set, it is very important to us that you bring the right attitude. We are looking for highly motivated and results oriented, hands-on designers.
• Degree (BSc, MS) in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar studies.
• Exposure to simulation tools such as ADS or AWR including EM simulations.
• Exposure to operation and calibration of an RF Power test setup (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, power meter).
• Some experience with hands-on board level tuning and optimization of matching networks.
• Load-pull experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other drawing packages is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long lasting partnerships.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
