Job Summary
Microcom is a satellite communications company that specializes in cutting edge technology to customize solutions for our customers.
We are currently seeking an ambitious sales/marketing manager. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day sales, monitor performance and market changes, and design and implement marketing strategies to optimize sales. You will train and motivate sales agents, roll out new products and optimize our company’s market share. You will have opportunities to hire staff, develop campaigns, and manage events.
Candidates for this role must be willing to learn, adaptable, and knowledgeable in the latest sales and marketing techniques as well as tried-and-true practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Leading a team of sales agents located in Alaska and Hawaii.
· Plan, assign and direct work.
· Manage, identify and develop new business and marketing opportunities and strategies.
· Prepare presentations for meetings with prospective clients and customers.
· Lead weekly sales meetings with energy and enthusiasm.
· Perform necessary store visits to drive performance.
· Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key metrics.
· Responsible for achieving sales and marketing goals.
· Manage and develop new business opportunities and strategies.
· Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training of new sales employees.
· Provide daily leadership to employees within the geographic area assigned.
· Complies with management reporting and communications as requested.
· Conduct employee performance reviews; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

· Coordinate marketing campaigns, manage co-op accounts with providers, and lead marketing staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages a team of sales agents located in 3 states. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college and 2 years of high-level sales experience, including 2 years supervisory/management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires an elevated understanding of the processes, procedures and responsibilities performed by lower- level staff, including thorough knowledge of multi-channel video distribution systems, satellite broadband systems, and/or a willingness to learn telecommunications technology.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
