Department Description

Hogan Lovells Science Unit provides scientific support to lawyers across the firm.

The scientists provide an integrated service with the legal teams to ensure that in matters involving scientific or technical issues, accurate and targeted advice is provided at all stages of the case. The team’s scientific and technical knowledge provide critical and cost-effective support in commercial litigation, product liability and personal injury litigation, risk management, regulatory issues, challenges to advertising claims, insurance cases, patent litigation and due diligence exercises.

The work spans major industries, including automotive, pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, energy and natural resources, technology, media and telecommunications, industrial chemicals, transport and other consumer goods.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

To provide support to the Senior Scientist and work as part of a team with other lawyers. The work will comprise responsibility for a range of tasks including:
