Security Alarm Installation Technician

Overview

M-CO LLC is seeking an experienced Security Alarm Technician. In this role, Technician will be responsible for Installing Fire Alarm, Network, Video Surveillance, Access Control Intrusion Systems. This will include cabling, installation programming, commissioning and testing.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties associated with the service and installation, including but not limited to Intrusion, Fire, Card Access, CCTV, Intercom, VoIP and Broadband. Technician should be well versed in the use of a multi meter, reading of technical documents and manuals and have a strong understanding of wiring principles. This position is mainly for about a 3 hour radius of St Louis but at times it is needed to travel farther with overnight stays required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Technical School degree/certification required, or 5+ years field experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of CCTV, Alarm, Fire and Access Control installation experience preferred with Technical School degree or certification.
• Solid Comprehension of the publications about standard telecom, data, security, and wireless systems practices, engineering, and Federal, State, and local safety standards.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Climbing stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds
• Carrying loads up and downstairs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Exposure to noisy or dusty conditions; chemicals & solvents; mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards.
• Schedule flexibility and willingness to travel overnight a must
• Deadline driven.
• Detail oriented.
• Clean driving record.
• Background check and drug test required upon employment
• NICET certification in Fire Alarms highly desired
• Alarm Technician certification a plus.

Compensation for this full time position is competitive and pay based upon experience.

Pay: $28.00 – $36.00 per hour
