YOUR ROLE

The Senior Analyst, Reporting & Control oversees the quality, reliability of the all the financial statements by coordinating with finance departments to ensure proper adherence of internal accounting and reporting process guidelines. Additionally, he/she is responsible to improve the accounting processes and internal controls in place all the while overseeing and providing relevant support to any rising complex accounting situations.

Strategic (40%):

  • Improving current and implementing new financial processes such as to reduce month-end reporting deadline and promote the quality and reliability of deliverables;
  • Identifying accounting team system issues, creating incident reports and working alongside the IT team to improve the existing system infrastructure;
  • Working with the BPC steering committee to improve the current accounting system;
  • Responsible of high priority projects assigned by the Senior Accounting Director, as part of The Aldo Group’s Financial Road Map Improvement initiatives.
  • Establishing internal controls and ensuring that all new ASPE standards are being adhered to within the organization.
  • Aligning on all internal controls that need to be implemented via Risk matrix evaluation, and communicating the changes to key stakeholders.
  • Researching on newly released ASPE standards and providing an assessment on their applicability within the organization.

Operational (35%):

  • Coordinating key month-end timelines with accounting team members, assisting the team in obtaining any missing information for reporting purposes and providing guidance in complex accounting cases to ensure accurate monthly reporting;
  • Providing support to the Accounting Director as needed.
  • Establishing internal controls within the organization by updating the relevant accounting standards that are applicable.
  • Oversight of the Risk Matrix Evaluation on all tasks and controls that are currently being undertaken by the organization.
  • Reviewing new accounting standards and ensuring they are applied per ASPE guidelines.

Leadership (25%):

  • Conducting regular SAP/BPC/BI trainings to improve the finance team’s efficiency;
  • Leading special projects by assigning workload to team members;
  • Providing support to the Accounting Director in relevant team structure initiatives.
  • Responsible for preparing self-assessment as part of the yearly performance review process;
  • Participating in annual personal objectives setting;
  • Establishing clear priorities and objectives to achieve common goals;
  • Highlighting and recognizing the success of the associates under charge;
  • Fostering collaboration and cooperation with other teams and departments;
  • Respecting diversity and encouraging equality

DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance
  • CPA title
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in general accounting, consolidation and reporting
  • Bilingual
  • BPC, SAP and BI knowledge is a must
  • Strong leadership and inter-personal skills
  • Strong solution-driven analytical skills
  • Capacity to provide meaningful insights with a limited amount of information
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
