Senior Backend Website Developer

Location: Regina/Saskatoon, SK, can work remotely.

Start Date: October 01, 2022

Duration: Twelve (12) months initial contract; extendible for up to another (24) months.

Project / Position Summary:

We are seeking a Two Senior Backend Website Developers to support the enhancements and improvements to the platform. The Backend Website Developers will develop and transfer the consumer website which is a vital channel between and our Client and Client’s customers..

Responsibilities / Deliverables:

The Sr. Backend Website Developerresponsibilities/deliverables may include, but may not be limited to:

• Collect business requirements and transform to the business case and solution.
• Review and evaluate the existing website.
• Develop and transform the website based on the business requirements and WebSphere technology.

d. Ensures projects align with the organization standards and governance guidelines.

• Develop the cost estimation, implementation schedule, timeline estimation and resources for the revamp of website based on the business requirements.
• Prepare for the leading workshops, documenting requirements and producing work flows.
• Other duties as required

Experience / Skills Requirements:

The Sr. Backend Website Developershould have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

1. Degree, Diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience in related field.

2. Minimum Five (5) years of experience with HCL Digital Experience (formally IBM WebSphere Portal).

3. Minimum Five (5) years of experience using Java.

4. Minimum six (6) years of experience as a Backend Website Developer.

5. Minimum four (4) years of experience using JavaServer Pages (JSP) and working on self-serve websites.

6. Minimum three (3) years of experience with WebSphere Application Server and IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere.

7. Minimum three (3) years (within the last five (5) years.) of North America Telecom experience preferred (Wireline, Wireless, Converged).

8. Excellent problem analysis/solving in the performance of developing and/or modifying systems and applications.

9. Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to deal effectively with Others, Ambiguity, conflict resolution, and diplomacy.

10. Ability to work with end users to define business process improvements.

11. Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while managing project and client expectations.

12. Excellent analytical skills, and people skills.
