Our work in Tech, Media & Telecoms (TMT)
We advise leading companies, from multinational corporations to fast-growing start-ups, on strategy issues and political communications. We have built special expertise in key sectors.
In the pan-European TMT team, our specialist colleagues support our clients on national and European digital policy, reputation management, and the media positioning of digital companies. We help clients navigate disruption, competition, globalization, regulation and a changing media landscape. The Berlin team has a particular focus on public affairs and corporate communications.
As businesses beyond the tech industry are becoming increasingly digitalized, our TMT team closely cooperates with other sector teams (e.g. healthcare, energy) as well as coordinating with the various other practice groups (e.g. cybersecurity, antitrust). Thanks to their many years of experience, our TMT team supports clients as a reliable partner in situations that are critical to success.

The role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Client Contribution & Handling
- Support in advising national and international clients in the field of ‘Tech, Media & Telecoms’ on several communication challenges
- Provide relevant insights, guidance and advice to clients in the areas of public affairs and corporate communications
- Serve as day-to-day client liaison, acting with discretion, maturity, and excellent judgment at all times
- Maintain and demonstrate awareness of broad industry trends affecting clients, particularly specific to the TMT sector
Team Management
- Work with Partners and Directors on the management of client deliverables
- Manage and mentor junior team members to ensure excellent client work as well as professional growth and development opportunities
- Manage the development of key client documents, including political analyses, communication materials and strategy documents, by playing a vital role through the drafting, editing, and review process
- Organize stakeholder meetings, including client interactions with media and the political environment
Candidate Specification
The Successful Candidate Will Be/possess:
- Professional experience in a consulting environment, a communications agency or in an association; with prior experience working with clients in the TMT sector preferred
- A good level of knowledge and experience in the field of digital policy in Germany, preferably also at EU level
- An existing network in the political environment and the ability to gain access to the media is an advantage
- Good understanding of the influence of the media, politics and the public on companies and other organizations
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
- Can think strategically and creatively, with strong problem-solving skills
- A strong verbal communicator with high EQ levels and an engaging presentation style
- Ability to write thoughtful, well-structured content; considering the audience in style and tone of communications
- Capable of expressing a point of view in a thoughtful manner; analysing and distilling complex information
- Exhibits discretion with sensitive and confidential information
- Questions and challenges in a constructive way; present ideas confidently and respectfully
- Energetic team player with strong self-motivation and experience in leading teams
- Fluency in German and English is required
