Our Team:
Vodafones’s SIM Technology Centre (STC) is accountable for the strategic evolvement, security, engineering, life cycle management and operational excellence of VF centrally provided SIM/eSIM products and solutions. This includes the “classical” SIM, eSIM, eSIM provisioning systems and all current and future SIM/eSIM products and services. The main purpose of our work is to constantly ensure customer’s secure access to VF networks and services. This is achieved through a dedicated SIM security and SIM product strategy, which is also the basis for Vodafone to be compliant with telecommunication laws and regulations while also ensuring Vodafone’s billing integrity.
The STC enables Consumer and Enterprise organisation to provide connectivity and services to their customers by deployment of SIM/eSIM products, eSIM solutions and innovative SIM technologies, drives the SIM digitalization and the introduction of new services. By deploying Consumer and IoT subscription management (eSIM) ecosystems in all markets to further accelerate our customer experience we change the way we do business and ensure that Vodafone is playing a crucial role as a technology company. Security is key for our successful deployment of products. Therefore we drive within Vodafone and in international standards organisation the development of security concepts and certification schemes to protect our systems and data for illegitimate access.

Role Purpose:

The SIM/eUICC Integration & QA Lead manages the integration of VF SIM and eSIM into VF markets and infrastructure. The role owns the technical interface to markets, the definition of markets guideline, SIM functional requirements, definition of the profile set-up, and validation for VF worldwide
The whole product life cycle from first concept, definition, qualification and in market life time is included. The interoperability with VF Infrastructure and harmonization over four strategic SIM suppliers is a key success factor. Further, the role manages the SIM supplier during definition, qualification and problem management.
The definition of the test environment, integration is existing Lab infrastructure, test automation with tools suppliers and continuous improvement of self-certification of the SIM supplier processes are also in scope.

With us you will:

• Assure (e)SIM set-up and validation according to security controls, market needs and technical requirements
• Assures SIM/eSIM integration in VF infrastructure and interoperability between different suppliers
• Guide local Markets on their (e)SIM products set-up
• Central Problem assessment of overall SIM/eSIM issues, including assessment within VF SIM Lab environment, solution definition and implementation with the SIM supplier
• Define test scope and tool requirements for VF SIM/eSIM and manage development of the corresponding test set-up in VF Lab infrastructure with the suppliers

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Higher education degree in Engineering /IT and min 5+ year correlated work experience
• Profound Knowledge (Abstraction layer down to physical layer) of relevant smartcard standards in ISO, ETSI, 3GPP, GSMA, Global Platform and Java card
• Experience in large scaled integration test projects and problem management
• English fluent in written &spoken
