With a busy corporate office based in Denver CO we are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support this booming business. A newly created position, this critical role will work in partnership with the Director of IT and will provide operational and project-oriented support for all aspects of the enterprise infrastructure. With an employee population hovering around 4500, a corporate office located in downtown Denver – and field/district offices located in every major oil and gas play in the United States and in Western Canada, this role requires you to be comfortable working in both office and industrial/shop environments, and confident in your ability to help.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of IT, the Network Administrator provides operational, project, and initiative support for all aspects of enterprise network infrastructure. This includes service request fulfillment, incident response, and routine maintenance and auditing. This position also requires the ability to identify and effectively communicate opportunities for improvement and reducing technical debt.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operational support, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of corporate network and network devices across local and remote sites
  • Determines network requirements, designs solutions, installs and integrates new or replacement network hardware and software
  • Initiates strategic discussions and shares thoughtful and innovative ideas with IT management and co-workers for carrying out company mission
  • May assist, direct, guide, and supervise the IT Support Technicians’ work
  • Trains IT Support Technician on how to troubleshoot basic or common network issues
  • Documents, edits, and maintains lower-level troubleshooting manual for IT Support Technicians’ reference purposes.
  • Successfully completes day-to-day work assignments independently without supervision
  • Monitors network performance and responds to network incidents and outages.
  • Ensures network security and complianceWorks with IT Architects to aid in design, implementation, and continual improvement of infrastructure

You Bring:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems/Industrial Engineering, or related field. Professional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • 5 years of networking experience
  • Deep understanding and operational knowledge of network and routing protocols, network device configuration and programming, and enterprise wireless systems including:
  • Cisco and Aruba CLI
  • Cisco wireless implementation, config, and troubleshooting
  • SolarWinds/Orion (Specifically the NPM, NCM, and IPAM modules)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, circuits, and other telecom devices and technologies – including implementation, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Designing, implementing, and managing ACLs, VLANs, and routing on Cisco and Aruba
  • Cisco CCNA certificate (or above) desired
  • Ability to install, configure, maintain, & troubleshoot software/hardware on networking equipment
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities, proven organizational/ analytical skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment

  • A 9-80 work schedule where you will work 9 hours each day for 9 workdays in a row (Monday to following Thursday) and then have every 10thworkday (a Friday) off.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
