8+ years networking experience
6+ years configuration management of enterprise IP network systems experience

CCNA certification preferred
Overview
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will support the GOES-R program. You will be responsible for supporting obsolescence work to update infrastructure architecture and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Interfaces and coordinates with appropriate L3Harris implementation engineering groups to ensure schedules meet established requirements and delivery dates.
- Responsible for assisting in planning and implementing the necessary hardware, software and telecommunications equipment to maintain and/or enhance the customer’s local and wide-area networks.
- Maintains accurate accounting of data for traceability across projects, and verified compliance of program solutions, documents, and actions with specific requirements, processes, and procedures.
- Works independently with general guidance.
- Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects.
- Solve problems of increased complexity.
Qualifications
- Must have a bachelors degree
- 8+ years network engineering work experience
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Cisco networking domain knowledge with the ability to plan, implement and verify local and wide-area enterprise networks.
- Network Tools (Wire Shark, SNMP Managers, ClearQuest, etc.)
- Perform extensive root cause analysis, problem determination and support of technical issues related to routing and switching technologies, e.g. VPN, basic router configurations, firewalls, etc.
- Self-motivation, able to work well independently and within inter-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to configure, implement and support IP network infrastructure
- Experience configuring 802.1q, ISL, VTP, QoS, BGP, VPLS, AS prepending, route policies, and foundational BGP troubleshooting and configuring (Route-leaking, BGP attributes (local preference and community’s)) using Cisco best practices
- CCNA certification, or equivalent experience
- Six (6) years’ experience in configuration management (CM) of enterprise IP network systems (system of systems concepts)
- Working knowledge of Change and Release Management methods, tools, terminology and industry practices
