Senior Network Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Network Engineer, will be responsible for performing all network and security operations functions required to support day-to-day operations, supporting and maintaining a broad suite of the Network & Security infrastructure. Engineer will work with multiple stake holders from Support Services, Retail , Warehouse and App teams and primarily focus on operations stability, standardization, suitability, and integration of the existing network portfolio incorporating new and more dynamic solutions to make environment scalable, more efficient, secure, and user-friendly design.

With the MUST HAVE expertise and hands on experience in

• Automation (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.)
• Aruba Wireless, clearpass
• Azure Cloud – Networking and Security
• Firewalls – Palo Alto, Panorama, Fortinet & Fortimanager

Project Details For retailer with 600+ Stores, Corporate offices, datacenters and Distribution Centers (warehouses) with hands-on expert Senior Network Engineer.

Senior position.
Local to SF. (Within 1 hour distance from SF downtown)

Required

• Must have experience in using automation

tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ARM, AZ CLI, Visual Studio.

• Expert level experience in Azure / Google Cloud Technology (PaaS, IaaS, AKS, CI/CD, VCP, Express Routes, etc…)
• Expert level experience with Palo Alto Firewalls (App-ID, Threat prevention, Wildfire, Panorama), Fortinet , Fortimanager
• Corp office/site build out , Datacenter build experience.
• Using Network Monitoring : Splunk, Solarwinds, cloud monitoring & Management Tools and Sniffers like Wireshark, TCPDUMP, Netflow, to analyze packet captures.
• Desired technical Knowledge: IDS/IPS, privileged access management, Encryption, Digital Certificates, SSL, VPN, IPSec, TCP/IP, DNS, and web security architecture, vulnerability scanning technologies, application security, Cloud security.
• Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network hardware such as Cisco switches (Nexus 5k/7k/9k, stack switches, 4510X), F5 load balancers (LTM, GTM, BigIQ), Juniper Pulse, Zscaler,Riverbed (Steelheads, Netprofiler, NetShark)
• Understanding of controls (e.g. access control, auditing, AAA, encryption, integrity, physical security, and application security).
• Strong knowledge on IP networking (Switching & Routing), Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP), RSTP, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, OSI layer.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to build and maintain relationships with varying levels of management within all departments
