Summary / Objective:

The Senior Network Engineer designs, implements and supports our global IT infrastructure. In this position you will work on infrastructure projects with all areas of the business to create a user friendly, cost effective, reliable, and secure solution. The Senior Network Engineer continuously improve the existing infrastructure by monitoring key performance indicators, upgrading hardware and software, standardizing configurations, simplifying deployments, documenting installations and changes as well as managing vendor relationship.

Essential Functions:

• Creates and supports a standard structured cabling specification.
• Installs, configures, and supports Fortinet hardware and software solutions.
• Installs, configures, and support Client VPNs, IPSEC tunnel VPNs in an MFA secured hybrid environment.
• Cloud platform integration and supporting including Azure and Office 365.
• Installs, configures, and supports virtual servers including Hyper-V and Azure (Azure networking).
• Drives continuous improvement in business processes and increase operational efficiencies.
• Installs, configures, and supports server hardware and operating systems.
• Continuously improve security and reliability by monitoring equipment patches and network performance.
• Drives continuous improvement in IT processes and increases operational efficiencies.
• Works closely with project teams in gathering requirements, standing up and configuring the platform.
• Other duties can be assigned based on company needs and employee capabilities.

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Deep understanding of WAN, LAN, and telecom protocols.
• Experience with Cisco equipment, Fortinet security fabric, switches, routers, firewalls, proxy servers and wireless access points.
• Experience with network monitoring tools for capacity planning, troubleshooting, and threat detection and evaluation.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365 in a multisite, multilanguage environment.
• Project management and communication skills.
• Read and write in the English language.
• Interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. At times, due to projects or work assignments, employee will need to coordinate and direct a team to meet/satisfy individual/company objectives.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. At times, employee might be exposed to manufacturing environment, including forklift traffic, fumes, noise, and operating manufacturing equipment.

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. To meet our customer demands and internal objectives, at times this role will be required to work outside of the normal schedule, including weekends.

Travel:

There may be occasional local day travel or overnight travel as it relates to training activities or support of assigned plants/locations.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science or IT related field, or equivalent work experience and/or education.
• 5+ years’ experience with Network and systems administration.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Experience with Dell server hardware, Microsoft Windows, and Linux operating systems
• Experience with Avaya VOIP
• Experience with vendor, accounts, and contract management.
• Technical and professional certifications

Pay: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
