Network Engineer
Location: Salem, NH
Days/Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
Status: Salaried

Job Description: As a Network Engineer, you are required to manage, service and support multiple customer’s network infrastructure. The work performed will be both remote and onsite. This role will be a lead role for our many customers to ensure appropriate and optimized networks designs. This includes the server environment, security, DR, LAN/WAN devices. An extremely important part of this role is consultative so strong relationship building, confidence building, and customer interaction is critical.
Job Responsibilities:
- Local and Wide area network design, support and implementation for customers
- Server infrastructure design and support expertise including physical, virtual
- Ability to create high availability environments for all aspects of infrastructure
- Strong backup and disaster recovery knowledge
- Experience with cloud implementations and migrations
- Support, Design, implement virtual environments including both Server and Desktop leveraging Microsoft HyperV, VMware, Citrix, etc.
- Implementing local network directory structures and security policies
- Effectively multitask clients and projects. This role will support several customers on ‘part time’ or outsourced basis both on site and remote.
- Effective leverage the company systems and divisions to properly support customers for level 1,2,3 needs
- Effectively and consistently Document customer environments
- Effective Communication amongst customers, vendors and Morse team
- Perform network technology health assessments with best practice recommendations
- Develop strong working rapport with all customers to be able to exude confidence in abilities, recommendations, solutions, follow up.
- Assist in the pre-sales engineering process occasionally and be able to offer solution designs as needed
- Complete daily, weekly monthly maintenance checklist
- Opportunity for some local and national travel
- Gain new industry certifications as needed by company / maintain existing certifications
- Project management skills
- Server and Desktop Virtualization Expertise and strong knowledge of VEEAM, HA, VMOTION, STORAGE
Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years proven success in high-tech account support as an engineer role
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, create and follow project plan and manage team of engineers as part of a project team for customer projects.
- Demonstrated ability to act as role of Senior Level Network Consultant
- Previous experience with personnel management. Excellent problem and/or dispute resolution skills. Proven leadership skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact with customers positively to maintain strong rapport with customer
- Some experience implementing WiFi networks
- Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network infrastructure (LAN/WAN)
- Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices and procedures.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Strong leadership skills.
- High level of self-motivation.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- On-call rotation for one week, approx. every 5 weeks
Preferred Certifications (or equivalent)
CCNA, CCNP, MCSSP, Network +, VMWARE VCP
