Senior Network Operations Engineer

Remote to On-site in Austin, TX OR Atlanta, GA

12-month Contract-to-Hire

Brooksource is looking for a L3 Network Operations Engineer to join our top retail client in the Atlanta or Austin area. In this position, you will be responsible with designing, implementing, and escalating changes for our Client’s Data Centers and Cloud Networks. As a Senior Engineer, you will be a core player that participates and leads multiple efforts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple various and high-level projects
• Working in a 90% Cisco environment with L3 Network Operations Engineers
• Handle all escalations out of the NOC for data centers and corporate buildings (this is not an Operate and Maintain position)
• Manage routing and switching activities daily
• Stabilize and correct wireless dark stops, offline access points, and down payment systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting GCP and Cisco Networks in an Enterprise setting
• 5+ years of experience with routing and switching, including Cisco, Cisco Catalyst, Juniper, and HPE
• 5+ years of experience in network performance tuning and troubleshooting experience
• 2+ years of experience with WLAN
• 5+ years of experience with Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VTP, VLAN, HSRP, EtherChannel, IPSec VPN
• 5+ years of experience supporting 1000+ node systems & 1000+ users in Enterprise setting
• 2 years of experience supporting network connections to applications hosted on a cloud platform
• 1-2 years of experience with Cisco Netscaler Load Balancer
• Experience in Palo Alto Firewalls
• Strong understanding of Data and Voice Telecommunications methodologies
