Our Client in Alpharetta is looking for a Senior Network Operations Support Specialist. The Senior Network Operations Support Specialist (Tier 3) is the point of contact for technology issues across multiple departments including IT infrastructure, telecommunications, network, systems, field controls, and SCADA providing 24x7x365 call support. The Senior Network Operations Support Specialist (Tier 3) is responsible for technology monitoring and support spanning multiple technical disciplines including, networks, servers, voice, physical and cybersecurity, and industrial controls systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for contributing to systems planning, design, implementation, configuration and support. Continually acts to improve systems reliability through preventive maintenance, feature enhancements, automation, and support contracts. Provide a feedback loop to the systems engineering team (suggested improvements, recurring issues, etc.)
2. Collaborate with Systems and Applications teams to better identify opportunities to proactively monitor the systems and applications in the CPC technology environment. Optimize the monitoring, response procedures and the configuration of the monitoring and management tools. Provide input and experience on the integration of ITSM tools (as appropriate). Contribute to and maintain system standards. Participate in project handoffs between build and support organizations.
3. Improve the availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
4. Provide Tier 3 support as an escalation point from Tier 2 requests. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
5. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
6. Manage small to medium scale projects from conception to completion including timeline, internal/external resources and budget.
7. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for operational resolution tasks. Perform Problem Management responsibilities including investigating problem cases and collaborating with Systems Engineering to provide a solution. Participate, if not owning the responsible to resolve the Problem case.
