Project is located in Ardmore, TN. Must be willing to travel if not local. Mileage, Lodging, and Per Diem are provided.
Must have 7+ years of experience operating a mainline plow
This position is responsible for operating main line plow for its intended purpose, with little or no assistance, in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life. Operator handles moderately complex work activities using main line plow, and other heavy equipment, which may include trucks, horizontal directional drills, excavators, front-end loaders, dozers, and other pieces of equipment. The main line plow operator is responsible for daily cleaning, maintaining, and securing all equipment as directed by legislation, policies, and procedures. 7+ years of experience in the field or sufficient experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position satisfactorily is required.
Skills:
-Use of equipment as appropriate to level roads and/or working area, ensure proper drainage, and develop proper grade.
-Must have proficient knowledge of truck and equipment safety.
-Ability to operate a single axel truck in a safe and responsible manner.
-Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques.
-Experienced in equipment cleaning and standards and procedures.
-Thorough knowledge or water, sewer, and garbage truck operation.
-Ability to read, write, and record activities in order to maintain daily records.
-Ability to exert more than 75 pounds of force occasionally.
-Ability to exert 70 pounds and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

-Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting, working at heights, in confined spaces, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
Requirements:
-Must have a valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record (no accidents in 3 years, no DUI in 5 years), and pass a drug and background screen.
