We recognise that seabed mobility and scour assessment is a highly multi-disciplinary activity, and we therefore welcome applicants with a range of industry backgrounds, including but not limited to, fluid dynamics, metocean, geospatial consultancy, GIS, marine geoscience, geotechnical engineering, and coastal and maritime engineering.

Location: Epsom, London, Glasgow.

  • Integration and analysis of metocean, hydrodynamic, hydrographic and geotechnical data.
  • Numerical sediment dynamics modelling of the seabed throughout the lifetime of the engineered infrastructure (offshore wind farms and cable routes).
  • Working closely with marine geophysicists & geoscientists, engineering geologists, geotechnical engineers, and engineering geomorphologists on offshore renewables and subsea cable projects.

Candidates should have:

  • A strong academic background with a relevant degree (ideally MSc or equivalent) with geoscience or civil engineering content.
  • Experience of acting in a relevant role within the offshore renewables industry, interconnector or telecommunications cables industries or a related field.
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Ability to undertake statistical assessment of sediment mobility from bathymetric data.
  • Experience in performing scour and bed shear stress analysis.
  • Ability to undertake hydrodynamic and sediment dynamics modelling using applicable software such as Mike21, Delft3D or equivalent.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.

The following qualities are desirable –
