Job Detail

Purpose:

Reporting to the Business Segment President, leads the integration of business operations across all business functions including management of cost and schedule. The role also includes defining long term cost savings and strategic importance for the effort. This role will interface with both corporate and P&L leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Leads integration team to merge businesses and develop a common set of business processes
• Responsible for cost and schedule management for overall project
• Responsible for managing overall project risks
• Leads functional teams in support of business integration project
• Develops a common playbook for M&A integration
• Identifies synergies resulting from integrated business framework
• Partners with executive team to manage integrated business
• Facilitates communication to resolve customer related problems and escalates to COO and Business Segment President when appropriate.
• Creates and refines detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, track project schedules and technical performance.
• Follows the best practices of project management and ISO standards.
• Provides project supervision of technical and operations resources
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of the project/order and reports directly to senior management.
• Handles product planning & development: Business case, build/buy/partner, pricing, product definition, positioning, performance measurements and packing.
• Manages multiple and complex projects.
• Establishes roles and responsibilities within core program team.
• Supports the business in the bidding process.
• Develops strategies to enhance revenues or services, reduce costs & manage risk.
• Requires the experience in delivering the project deliverables within schedule, to the correct technical specification, i.e., defined to meet user requirements, and within the approved budget and other specified criteria.
• Provides leadership briefings of project status and risks.
• Leads matrixed teams.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities when required.

Skills:

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, internal status reports, external status reports for presentation to the Executive team and/or customer.
• Ability to lead the project leadership and functional teams, coordinate project meetings and maintain the project objectives through effective project management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-organizational individuals as well as senior executives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business; Master’s degree preferred
• PMP Certification
• At least 15 years of industry experience in Project Management or other related field
• Experience in leading business integration projects
• 10+ years experience using MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio
• Experience with Costpoint Deltek preferred
• Ability to travel
