TITLE Senior Project Manager

HOURS Monday to Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm

DUTIES

Reports to company headquarters in Plano, TX.

All aspects of project management for medium to large size/complexity project

Scope – creation, requirements gathering, defining, validation, planning, and controlling;

Schedule – development, defining, sequencing, and estimating activities, and managing;

Budget – creation, planning and controlling;

Quality – plan creation and controlling;

Resource – estimating resource activities, acquire resources, develop team, manage;

Communication – develop communication plan and monitor;

Risk – identify risks, perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, response plan, monitor and manage;

Procurement – conduct and monitor project procurements;

Stakeholder – Identify, plan, manage and monitor stakeholder engagement; and

Change – identify and manage, in accordance with current processes, all project change requests.

Define, document, and execute all assigned projects, directing and counseling project team members, and advising Executive Sponsor/Leadership, clients/users as necessary on all phases.

Work with finance and contracts to ensure project documentation is approved and/or resolves any issues prohibiting approval.

Coordinate with other managers within the business; manages expectations for sponsor, project team and executive leadership.

Ensures that all aspect of assigned projects meet the scope and are formally closed when all deliverables have been met.

Works with junior project managers to provide guidance and mentorship.

Provides feedback and recommendations to processes and tools for continuous improvement.

Provides project management training and coaching to project team members outside the PMO.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related, and Five (5) years of IT project experience, or related. Five (5) years of required IT project experience, or related, must include Project Management experience; Infrastructure experience; Budgeting experience; and IT technical experience.

ROVING/TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE

Reports to company headquarters in Plano, TX. Will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S. for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S. and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S. Can work remotely or telecommute.
