Job Posting Description:
The LCBO is currently seeking a Senior Technical Systems Specialist of Telephony who will be responsible for providing technical leadership and key domain expertise on our telephony platforms, these include PBX and VOIP solutions. Reporting directly to Team lead Telephony will develop, implement, maintain a large scope of telephony applications and platforms, including overall integration and data transformations ensuring the programming standards and business requirements are met. You will be a key member in leading the LCBO’s IT transformation and modernization of telephony initiatives as you will engage in cross functional continuous improvement initiatives and be an advocate for positive capability transformations.

About the Role
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for PBX, and VOIP technologies and critically evaluate, adapt, or develop new theories and/or methods as required.
- Provide input from multiple systems perspectives and ensure alignment to IT Strategy and industry best practices, as well as establishes frameworks and methodologies for approaching assignments.
- Coach and mentor team members to develop new capabilities by validating and providing resolution recommendations and encouraging technical SMEs to provide ‘Out of the Box’ infrastructure solutions
- Work with technical teams and business leaders to design, develop, and maintain IVRs, call flows & reports.
- Support existing Telephony systems in all Head Office Campus, Retail and Warehouse locations
About You
- University degree in a technical area such as Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or IT
- 10+ years of experience designing and developing complex Telephony platforms
- 3+ years leading projects, overseeing their work, and coaching and developing them.
- Strong experience with Cloud enablement of contact center solutions
- Experience with Computertalk contact center technology and Genesys Interactive Intelligence IVR equivalent and hands on experience in implementing Cloud solutions
- Expert technical understanding of key systems: Avaya IP Office, Norstar, Nortel BCM50 and Option 11c, Call Pilot
- Experience with Cisco CUCM, Unity, UCCX
- Experience with using and troubleshooting Cisco Jabber for Windows and Mobile deployments
- Experience with using and troubleshooting MS Teams Telephony integrations
- Experience with vendors Bell online billing Manager, Telus Portal, Cisco Call Manager
- Experience with Configure and register Spectra link cordless phones, IP telephone paging systems
- Expert technical understanding AudioCodes gateways
- Experience with Setting up ATA’s, ACD, hunt groups, auto-attendant
- Someone who is cool headed in a crisis and can demonstrate the experience to be able to troubleshoot problems and resolve production issues quickly and methodically.
- Experience in PCI Frameworks and platform hardening leveraging NIST and CIS standards
- Lead Technical Resource on projects with ability to Architect full solution
- Understanding of networking concepts such as VOIP, SIP, RTP & QoS
- Certifications: ACIS: Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist, CCNP Collaboration: Cisco Certified Network Professional Collaboration, MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert): Productivity or equivalent
