Senior Vas Cloud Back Office Engineer

I’m recruiting for Senior VAS Cloud Back Office Engineer with experience in supporting in an Operational Environment. Knowledge of mobile telecom VAS services like SMSC, MMSC, Voice Mail .Based in Bracknell (ONLY UK) and flexible working of 3 days office/customer based. The salary depends on experience.

Responsibilities
Support and maintain VAS platforms to ensure very high levels of service delivery and availability
Linux/SQL applications troubleshooting, tickets record and solve standard problems
Ensure 2nd and 3rd level support for operational incidents and changes
Interaction with other technicians, customer technical staff and other groups within service delivery organization
Continue to develop technical and professional expertise through formal learning and experience on the diverse components of the overall solution
Traffic monitoring and analysis, platform routine inspection and health checks
Integrate new products and services on the solution and ensure high quality end to end services are delivered to customers
Recommendation of the capacity expansion, continue to expand the capacity of the system to keep up with rapid growth
Report regularly on system and service performance against key quality and availability targets
On-Call if required

Key experience
Very good experience/knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
Very good experience/knowledge in database like MySQL, SQL, Oracle
Very good knowledge in Network, Switch, Router, Firewall, TCP/IP protocol, IP security policies
Very good knowledge of Cloud technologies (virtualization, VMWare)
Experience in analyzing and evaluating technical solutions in an operational environment
Appreciation of the importance of Change Management in an operational environment
Knowledge of mobile telecom VAS services like SMSC, MMSC, Voice Mail

Skills
University or Bachelor Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication or Computer Science
Highly self-motivated and diligent
Problem-solving skills with an emphasis on resolution of complex technical problems and demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex systems
