Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Power, Refrigeration, and Electrical (PREL) Engineer. This position will be located in Vandenberg Space Force Base, California and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.

What You’ll Get To Do:

• Inspect, repair, maintain support equipment and ground launch support equipment, emphasizing AC and DC power generation and management, HVAC and environmental controls for launchers, launch centers, and maintenance support vehicles.
• Responsible for integration, assembly and test of aerospace flight vehicle and ground support equipment.
• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
• Read and understand engineering documentation that applies to laboratory setup and integration.
• Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
• conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• 2 years of related experience with Bachelor’s Degree; 0 years with Masters. An additional 4 years of experience be considered in lieu of a degree.
• US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)
• Prior experience in an integration, production, manufacturing or test environment or similar work
• Experience with common hand tools and test equipment found in an integration, production, manufacturing or test environment
• Able to implement best practices in demonstrates good hardware configuration management and tool accountability
• Able to read drawings, blueprints, diagrams and create work instructions/procedures

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• ICBM Maintenance or aerospace integration, assembly, and test experience
• Active Top Secret security clearance with adjudication in the last 6 years
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) valid in California and Utah
• Bachelor’s waived with Associates degree in a related field and 4 years ICBM maintenance experience
• Utilize MS products; Word, Excel, and Visio
• Previous military experience

Salary Range: $83,800 USD – $125,800 USD

Employees be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
