Position Summary:
Alamon Inc. is looking to hire a Service Delivery Project Manager. The Service Delivery Project Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships and communications during projects, developing budgets and project plans, and monitoring project progress through completion. This also includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
The Service Delivery Project Manager will focus on & has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis and is responsible to ensure the operations team produces the required on-site production and deliverables of quality within the specified constraints of time and cost.
Job Responsibilities:
The Service Delivery Project Manager is the person responsible for leading a project from its inception to execution. This includes planning, executing, and managing the people, resources, and scope of the project. Project Managers must have the discipline to create clear and attainable objectives and to see them through to successful completion. The project manager has full responsibility and authority to complete the assigned project.
The Service Delivery Project Manager then ensures that the project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the required quality standard. He/she ensures the project is effectively resourced and manages relationships with a wide range of groups and project contributors. The Project Manager is also responsible for managing the work of consultants, allocating and efficiently utilizing resources, and maintaining a cooperative, motivated, and successful team.
The duties for this position will occasionally take place after normal work hours and on weekends but will need to be flexible to work around customer schedules.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling, network infrastructure and hardware, and wireless applications.
- Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Thrive in high-pressure situations and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify, predict, and solve problems with the delivery of the product.
- Prioritize duties with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and processes to provide customer and personal
services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of
customer satisfaction.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or
approaches to problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Some travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in computer science/programming or IT Networking and PMP.
- Expert knowledge of either IT networking, router/server/switch, low voltage cabling, fiber,
- audio/visual, wireless APs with Ekahau certification with strong knowledge of wireless
- installation & turn-up, DAS, Access Control for building automation.
- Proven project management/project execution experience including the ability to plan and manage projects
and processes, allocate resources, monitor progress, provide customer updates, project closeout, and
invoicing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4 plus years of prior relevant experience
- Demonstrated effective project management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong data gathering/research and analysis skills.
- Work experience with IT network engineering, router/server/switch, low voltage/structured cabling, fiber,
audio/visual, wireless APs, RF, building automation, and surveys.
- Proven ability to multitask, set and manage priorities based on customer requirements.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule as needed including planned and unplanned overtime which may
include weekends.
- Bending, stooping, climbing, crawling under desks, and lifting to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, customer-driven environment. Portions of the day may be spent outside with sporadic visits to
operational areas resulting in exposure to a variety of temperatures and prevailing weather conditions.
- This may also result in exposure to dust, odors, gases, vapors, wet or slick surfaces, and loud noises.
- Where appropriate, wears personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with Company standards and
governmental regulations.
- The extension of regular working hours is occasionally necessary to complete time-sensitive projects, attend
training or respond to emergencies. Additionally, work may be required on weekends and holidays as
dictated by business demands.
