Insight Global is looking for a Dedicated Service Technician to join one of the world’s largest Oil and Gas companies on a 3-year contract, sitting out of Kitimat, BC. The successful candidate will be expected to assist users with any issues, questions, or concerns regarding Information Technology. This will include troubleshooting, training, technical support, ordering of IT equipment, managing escalations, supporting, and fostering the use of IT services for collaboration, and assisting in the planning and executing of IT projects. In addition to working closely with all users and teams across the organization, the DST may be expected to act as an PM for small IT projects, “hands and eyes” for network support, and act as a champion and educator of information security practices and information technology. The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and have excellent client-facing skills.

Must-have Skills:

  • Have had experience with troubleshooting; Windows 10; Microsoft Suite; Network Connectivity; Citrix
  • Remote Support Experience through tools such as Windows Remote Assistance a plus
  • IT Asset Management

  • Requirements gathering
  • Networking – support and configuration
  • Telecommunications experience (specifically radio equipment)

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Flexible language requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kitimat, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
