The Site Supervisor’s primary roles and responsibilities are:

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans

• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew

• Allocate general and daily responsibilities

• Supervise and train workers

• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate

• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met

• Adhere to relevant safety regulations.

• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment

• Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget

• Resolve problems when they arise

• Report to project manager and superintendent and relay daily progress

• Manage and guide the use of machinery and equipment.

• Be aware of project specifications and drawings

• Alert Superintendent of job site irregularities and make recommendations to improve productivity and safety.

• Understand and implement:

• Quantum Policy Manual

• Quantum Safety Program

• Quantum Maintenance Program

• Quality Control / Quality Assurance Program.

• Uphold Quantum’s higher standards of safety and professionalism.

• Understand Perform duties in-line with telecom / utility installation crew such as:

• Haul equipment and materials. Fuse conduit. Utility locating. Install fibre optic, coaxial and electrical cables. Install vaults, pedestals, and other utility assets. Enter trenches and manholes. Hold daily site safety meetings. Employee training and compliance.

• Operation of heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner

• Operation of Class 3 & 5 vehicles and trailers

• Site labour as required

• Other duties as assigned.

Salary: $18.00-$39.78 per hour

• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• construction: 5 years (preferred)
• supervisor: 2 years (preferred)
