Site Supervisor Level 1SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

This individual must have completed post-secondary education or holds an equivalent amount of working experience to perform the necessary tasks within their area of expertise. The individual must be able to work well independently, and in a team environment. Must be technologically savvy with equipment not limited to laptop, but not limited to cell phone, tablet etc. A level 1 site supervisor must be advanced in organizational skills, be academically sound and has well developed communication skills, both written and verbal. As well, have a strong ambition to learn and continuously develop their skills set. A Level 1 Site Supervisor must have their High Angle Rescue certificate, Working at Heights, WHIMIS, AODA, MMH & MSD, Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness, and Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level A training.

Travel will be required, primarily in Southern Ontario, and the individual, must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License and their own vehicle.

LEVEL 1 SITE SUPERVISOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enforce and abide by the company health and safety policy
• Responsible for the health and safety of all individuals on the job site and sub trades
• Follow all other corporate policies and procedures
• Participate in initial project planning and lead field installation activities
• Plan daily activities such that material inventory, equipment and sub-trades are notified, available and committed to execute scope requirements
• Implement preemptive measures to manage sub trades productivity during delays
• Mentor and encourage team members to perform and develop to the best of their abilities
• Promote a positive work environment, attitude and work ethic amongst field staff
• Diligently complete and submit weekly sub trades timesheets
• Execute all projects such that project deadlines and client expectations are met
• Monitor quality and ensure installations completed meet customer specification and industry standards
• Update contract documents daily to reflect as-built on site conditions including photographs and progress summaries
• Must complete various inspection forms in respects to Basekämp’s Health and Safety Manual
• Timely completion of all other site and office related paperwork
• Manage sub trade member, clientele and general public concerns and/or complaints while on site and escalate as required
• Report to senior management on site conditions, timelines and overall safety concerns
• 5+ years’ experience as a Site Superintendent in the construction industry
