Job Description

Under the direction of the Field Operations Supervisor, but working largely independently without and/or limited direct supervision, provide remedial repair, preventive maintenance, and system reliability services.

Responsibilities:

· Perform all aspect of tower and rooftop installations, maintenance, integration, testing and inspections.

· Installation & Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of GSM, DCS, UMTS, technologies radio equipments

· Installation & Maintenance of transmission, microwaves and optical fiber equipments

· Maintenance of mobile stations

· Maintenance of pneumatic communications networks

· Installation and deployment of telecommunications mobile units

· Installations in different work areas: civil work, telecommunications-towers, equipment rooms, wiring, air conditioned equipments, power plants, circuit board

· Install components and secure all physical connections to cabinets and or modules

· Ensure proper and timely installation

· Test circuit/facilities

· Optimizing cell sites

· Conduct site acceptance procedures.

· Complete punch list and inventory records

· Basic troubleshooting to include: defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions; assisting support departments with corrective action on deployed hardware and software; developing working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures

· Use of hand tools and powered tools as instructed

· Read, analyze, and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs)

· Complete operations paperwork (e.g., expense reports, timesheets, job documentation, etc.) including daily job status reports as requested.

· Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements:

· Bachelors’ degree in telecommunications, electronics, or computer science, OR associate degree with relevant experience.

· Mechanical skills to build cell sites

· Knowledge of wiring color code and fabrication of data cabling

· Experience with High Tech test equipment

· Cell site installation experience, preferred

· Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling to maneuver equipment/supplies of up to 70-pound loads regularly.

· Ability to use small hand tools

· Ability to work outdoors and in confined spaces

· Ability to work with/around energized electrical wires and/or ESD products

· Ability to work remotely at construction or installation sites

· Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, squat, climb, lift, pull and push up to 10 hours per day

· Clarity of vision at every distance with good depth perception and ability to clearly distinguish colors routinely for driving and performing assigned tasks.

· Good hearing, capable of distinction between equipment signals and the human voice often amidst background noises, such as wind, rain, and traffic.

· Self-motivation

· Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation

· Sound knowledge of the phases of the product installation

· Ability to read and write in English

· Willing to travel

· Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and proof of insurance

· Must have reliable transportation and the ability to transport minor job-related tools and equipment to work locations

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (preferred)
• Night Shift (preferred)
• Overnight Shift (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (required)
