Responsibilities:

Peraton requires Telecommunications Specialists to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract
(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide
USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),
and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network
Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and
common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct
training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Telecommunications Specialists must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge to troubleshoot, implement, and provide telecommunications support on behalf of their Government organization. This position will provide regular maintenance and ensure telecommunication devices function properly and in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, regulations, directives, and industry best practices. Telecommunications Specialists require strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with Contractor and Government staff and communicate technical issues in non-technical language. In addition, Telecommunications Specialists provide customer support for technical requests, process data to locate possible issues, and process voicemail and calling card requests.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Interfacing effectively with Government, team member, and vendor personnel regarding telecommunications infrastructure and services
  • Configuring and optimizing telephone systems and services, voicemail and Private Branch Exchange (PBX) communication systems, and other related systems
  • Detecting, understanding, and initiating fixes for network problems
  • Designing, maintaining, and assessing current and future telecommunications systems and equipment
  • Monitoring video teleconferencing (VTC) services to facilitate the early detection of incidents, impending outages, or degradations
  • Following strict privacy regulations when reviewing telecommunication logs and accounts
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission

Qualifications:


Required qualifications:
  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
  • At least one year of previous experience, especially with VTC hardware and software
  • Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS) certification required

Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $40,000 Salary Mid: $80,000 Salary Maximum: $100,000 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
