Job Description
Software Engineers at Itential are members of our Product team and are responsible for developing our industry leading automation platform and applications. You will have the opportunity for leadership roles if desired, including leading technical aspects of internal teams through our release cycles.
You will use your JavaScript and frontend development skills to develop our software platform and applications that automate network operations. You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues. You also enjoy ensuring that internal and external customers use our product effectively by making sure it is well tested and documented. Most importantly, you are a software developer that wants a challenging environment to continue developing your skills!

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and develop custom applications as a member of an Agile team
• Understand business requirements and how they translate to functionality
• Collaborate with a design team to bring their wireframes and designs to life
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
• Ensure that your code is tested, robust, and secure

Requirements:

Core Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years of post-graduate experience with software design and development
• Highly proficient with HTML, CSS, JS, and React with a sharp eye for detail
• Knowledge of professional software engineering development life cycle, including source control, build process, QA, and coding standards
• Strong collaborator who works efficiently within a small team in an agile environment
• Networking knowledge or experience is helpful but not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a modern MERN/MEAN stack
• Previous work with shared component libraries (huge plus if published or maintained a UI Library!)
• Proficiency in testing, debugging, profiling, and optimizing web applications and APIs
• Previous experience with JS tooling in projects (eslint, webpack, babel, mocha/chai, etc)
• Knowledge of industry standard accessibility requirements
• Cloud deployment and architecture (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Comfortable using Linux/*nix CLI

Location: Headquarters are in Atlanta, GA. However, remote applicants within the US will be considered.
