About this job role
This purpose of this role is to ensure that the scope of the delivery is understood and that the technical solution meets the business need and that plans are comprehensive and are achieved. This role is accountable from the business scoping of a technical deliverable through to enablement of technical benefits realisation, functional / non-functional. The role is accountable for multiple complex small to medium sized technical deliveries or a single large technical delivery, including producing and agreeing the technical delivery plan.
The SD-WAN, Cloud Fabric & Sales Transformation area covers a wide range of products – to drive to a business focus around Global & Enterprise major corporate customers, delivering leading edge products such as SD-WAN, MyQuote with outstanding outstanding customer service and market-leading security. To deliver it we need to focus where we can be brilliant, be more straightforward to do business with and meet customer needs with greater agility.
Main responsibilities
- Ensuring the scope of product delivery projects is understood, that the technical solution meets the business need and that plans are comprehensive and are achieved.
- Ensuring that all impacted teams (internal + external) understand the e2e delivery plans
- Meeting committed finance figures for the technical deliveries
- Make /implement recommendations for improvements to processes.
- Engaging with clients and suppliers including internal stakeholders (regular stakeholder comms)
Main skills/experience required
- Technical Delivery Management – understanding of the IT system stacks
- Strong background in IT development including portal, orchestration and network capabilities
- Stakeholder Management – ability to manage matrixed teams (design, delivery and test), external vendors and senior stakeholders e.g. product line
- Strong grounding in Agile (e.g. SAFe), with Scrum Manager experience in leading squads/agile deliveries
- Own the technical delivery of Global CIO IT projects from business scoping. The technical delivery will be complex and of small to medium size.
- Manage the achievement of Global CIO IT requirements by the production of a robust and achievable design and delivery plan
- Ensure all components impacted review, size and commit to the delivery & costs of the design for the technical delivery
