Summary The SR Coordinator Network takes responsibility for the maintenance and reliable operations of company servers and networking equipment. Performs technical work developing and implementing, and supporting infrastructure and networking equipment. The SR Coordinator Network should be customer service oriented individual with a solid background in implementing, and maintaining networking systems to include Cisco infrastructure solutions, Firewalls, and Storage Area Network solutions. The SR Coordinator Network must be able to support corporate policy and standard procedures for server configurations, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networking, VoIP, VPN, etc and security of a local and wide area network in a multi-site environment.
This position will report to the Manager of Customer Support & Network Services and will be part of a diverse team with the responsibility to provide all levels of support for the enterprise network across multiple locations and two datacenters in a LAN/WAN environment. Responsibilities will also include assisting the Servicedesk to meet required service level agreements and participate in on call rotations.
Essential Functions
- Administers day-to-day operations of both Cisco networks and hardware (in physical and virtual environments) and our Storage Area Network (SAN) in a multi-site environment including monitoring performance and resource availability and performing routine maintenance to keep the network running at optimal performance
- Designs and installs new, and plans and deploys patches of existing, network, server, telecommunication, and system software within the company in keeping with company standards and policies in a team environment
- Maintains all new and upgraded equipment and software after installation
- Install and maintain network and telecommunications cabling (Cat 5/6 and/or Fiber Optics)
- Oversee and manage work by vendors that perform installation services
- Provides second level troubleshooting to resolve network, server, and other hardware or system software issues and implement solutions
- Participates in evaluation of new technology opportunities which improve performance of overall environment for Vi-Jon employee owners
- Refines and maintains security of overall server and network environment to minimize intrusion opportunities for external and internal actors
- Configures, maintains, and monitors firewalls, routers, switches, etc., through IOS interface or equivalent tools
- Administers and monitors disaster recovery services and backups, including Veeam backup jobs and off line backup processes (Tape, disk, or cloud storage) consistent with overall Vi-Jon Disaster Recovery and Backup plan
- Responsible for Disaster Recovery Plan risk analysis, business impact and development strategy
- Leads Disaster Recovery plans to better ensure availability and recoverability of overall server and network environment
- All other duties as assigned
Supervisory Experience None
Education:
Minimum qualifications are an Associate’s degree in Computer Science (or a related degree) and 4-7 years of related experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Alternate qualification is no degree, but greater than seven years network experience.
Experience: Seven years of network experience required without Associates Degree.
Four years network experience required with an Associates’ degree.
Experience with supporting Virtualization technologies.
Experience with Category 5/6 and/or Fiber Optic cabling will also be considered a plus.
Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto and VMware certifications or experience will be considered a plus.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, manufacturing and laboratory environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax and other standard office equipment. Worker occasionally exposed to extreme heat and cold with temperatures sufficiently high or low to cause marked bodily discomfort. Exposed to sufficient noise to cause worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. Worker could be exposed to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts. Works in laboratory, production line and warehouse environments. This position will require use of PPE.
