Stratus is currently hiring for a Sr. Sales Engineer to join its team in Illinois.

The Sr. Sales Engineer is responsible for assisting team members at all levels with customer technical queries and advanced industry-related technological discussions during sales appointments, calls, and settings. Sr. Sales Engineers maintain exceptional knowledge of all products to deliver product trainings for all employees and assist during customer presentations. Sr. Sales Engineers’ duties include identifying customer needs and the correct products to meet those needs, making recommendations to sales representatives for their use in proposing solutions to customers and to assure customer satisfaction post-implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in exceeding sales goals by providing excellent technical expertise
  • Provide technical recommendations to sales representatives for their use in creating end-user proposals
  • Develop and deliver technical training materials, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Manage lab environment for demonstration and training
  • Fully understand existing product portfolio and recommend new products when necessary
  • Work regularly with Engineering team members, manufacturers, and others to expand knowledge base
  • Partner with team members to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction post-implementation
  • Ensure timely reporting to leadership whenever necessary

  • Proven technical background, preferably in telecom industry
