Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides work leadership and guidance to the Telecommunications Assistants – Kahi Mohala.
- Investigates and resolves problems, issues and concerns, and strives for continuous quality improvement in services.
- Performs duties of a Telecommunications Assistant – Kahi Mohala.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Essential: seeing, hearing, speaking.
- Frequent: sitting, finger dexterity, gripping of an object.
- Occasional: walking.
- Infrequent: climbing stairs, lifting usual weight of 1/2 pound up to 2 pounds, pushing/pulling, carrying usual weight of 1/2 pound up to 3 pounds, twisting body, reaching at and above shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions.
- Operates operator console, various communication equipment, computer, telephone.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Subjected to cold temperatures due to computer equipment.
- Occasionally exposed to irate telephone callers and subjected to possible verbal abuse.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years of telecommunications operator experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
- Prior experience to demonstrate ability to function in lead position preferred.
