At least 7 years relevant experience required.

Description:

  • Design and build custom applications. Design, plan, establish, and optimize wireless networks.
  • Develop wireless network infrastructures and make recommendations on systems enhancements for optimization. Lead and supervise teams.
  • Provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception to launch. Train and mentor other engineers. Design and validate RF link performance, quality and reliability.
  • Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and adjust equipment. Create manuals and support documentation. Develop software for wireless technology.
  • Optimize existing network by adjusting radio network parameters, adding/deleting of neighbors and recommending possible solutions to hardware problems.
  • Monitor and analyze statistical and drive test data to improve system performance indicators such as dropped calls, blocked calls, origination failures, handoff features.
  • Apply propagation theory, cellular theory, engineering tools and antenna theory to choose tower antenna placement.
  • Responsible for capacity planning, frequency planning and frequency hopping by applying carrier/interference (C/I) ratio analysis. Recommend site upgrade such as down tilling of antenna and re-orientation of radio additions.

Will support tge following:

  • USD: Deployment of business offers and network configurations, Support upgrades and vendor deployment. Charging: Deployment of Tariffs, business offers, and network configurations. Support upgrades and vendor deployment. Messaging: Perform network configuration and support vendor deployment activities.
  • CAP: Perform Network configuration and support vendor deployment activities. Packet core Support upgrades and vendor deployment. Voice Core Support upgrades and vendor deployment.

Skillset Matrix:
Technology Requirements (I.E Programs, systems, etc) Unix/Linux, Secure CRT/Putty, Experience in one the following Unified Subscriber Delivery (USD), Policy and Routing, Converged Charging, Messaging, Customer Access Provisioning (CAP), Packet Core
Included Platforms: A10 load balancer, Ericsson EDA, Nokia NAP, Nokia SM, Policy Manager, PCF, PCRF, AAA, SDP, EMM, VCC, OCC, Nokia MME, Cisco, Mavenir messaging

Daily Tasks: Review designated scheduled activities. Prior to the start of the Maintenance window. Coordinate with the vendor via Slack/conference call. Perform pre checks as required per the MOP, NEST affected nodes according to the impact of their activity and duration of work. Review MOPs for their activities to ensure understanding of the work being performed and also if there are any discrepancies that should be escalated to Support teams. Perform configuration activity as per documented procedure.
Upon completion of CR will update work log with Post check validation results and status of the activity whether successful or unsuccessful, verify node placed in NEST had been returned to In Service state(If required) upon successful completion of their activity.

Preferred Experience: Core network deployment, troubleshooting, Executing MOPs, Validating vendor work, Regular command line/GUI usage, Ability to work nights

Priority Skills: Attention to detail, Time management, Adaptability, Communication, Teamwork, ability to Document work logs thoroughly

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour
