Strategic Product Manager – Dual-Mode 5Gc Solution

About this opportunity

We seek another energizing, empathic, fact-based Strategic Product Manager (SPM) colleague to our team in Packet Core Solutions. In this role, you will work with other senior Product Managers to continue develop our Dual-Mode 5G Core solution capabilities for deployment on Ericsson and 3rd party cloud infrastructure solutions.

Packet Core Solutions is a unit in Solution Area Packet Core within Business Unit Digital Services, established to drive a network wide focus and with accountability for the 5G Core System evolution and Dual-Mode 5G Core based solution offerings. We drive system capabilities and build assets to simplify global deployments of 5G systems for mobile broadband, enterprise and mission critically important services.

As SPM, you will contribute to strategy, set priorities for solution development and securing timely and high-quality Dual-Mode 5G Core Target Solution releases, with focus on supporting Ericsson and 3rd party cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate to handle dependencies and prioritizations across multiple stakeholders.

What you will do:

• Define strategy, with main focus on DM 5GC for deployment on 3rd party cloud infrastructure.
• Prepare Product Lifecycle Management and business decisions, in accordance with Ericsson management processes.
• Manage and prioritize requirements to secure investments and efforts focused where value improved for Ericsson and our customers.
• Drive continuous improvements to lifecycle cost for DM 5GC solutions, contributing to Solution Area and Business Area level TCO and serviceability objectives.
• Collaborate with peers across BA peers to secure high quality TS pre-sales and delivery assets.
• Drive knowledge build-up.

You will bring:

• Education: Master or Bachelor degree in Science.
• Minimum years of experience: 5+ years of product management experience.
• Product area domain competence: 5G systems, Packet Core, Cloud infrastructure and NW Management & Orchestration.
• Experience from working with cloud native products and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience from working with external partners and related technical and commercial interactions and governance.
• Excellent presentation skills towards senior, business and technical roles, internally and externally.
• Financial and commercial understanding and ability to derive strategic insights from financial data.
• Ability to address complex questions in a structured way to reach decisions.
• Proven track record of strong collaboration skills and working cross-disciplines.
• Interest in system architecture and technology.
• Ability to perform under pressure of timelines, uncertainty and high stakes including manage setbacks.

Additional experience / proficiencies of value:

• Experience from service delivery domain and related service delivery assets. This could be experience from customer facing role with involvement in delivery of Core Network projects or similar experience.
• IT / Telecom security.
