We are looking for experienced voice, data & fiber optic cable installation techs who match the summary & job requirements. Must have 2-3+ years experience. Local candidates only. If you DO NOT have experience as shown above or are not local, do not apply.

Summary:

Voice & Data Cable Installation Techs will install: cable pathway systems, fire-stop systems, and various cable that includes but is not limited to: twisted pair cable, fiber optic, coax, as well as other low voltage cable. Cable installation includes: placement, termination, testing, labeling and documentation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Install, terminate, test, label and document category 5e & 6 structured cabling system.

Install, terminate, test, label and document all types of fiber optic horizontal, & backbone cables.

Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks or D-rings).

Dress and route cable into telecommunications closets, modular furniture and other work area outlets.

Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.

Firestop various types of cable penetrations.

Test, troubleshoot, and document test results for cabling.

Perform other duties as required.

Candidates must possess the following:

• Willingness to work Days, Evenings & Weekends as required.
• Willing to travel on a regular basis. (50% plus)
• Ability to carry heavy loads as needed.
• Carry and climb ladders as needed.
• Maintain a safety conscious work environment.

Must have a clean valid driver’s license.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical.

MUST HAVE a clean criminal background with NO FELONIES

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.00 to $20.00 /hour (paid based on experience)

Schedule:

• M-F (Hours could vary week to week. Might be required to work some weekends as needed)

** Will be paid overtime for any hours worked over the 40 Hours in a work week and double time if you are needed to work on Sundays.

Required travel:

• 50% (Required)
• A work vehicle will be provided for you to drive or ride in when traveling for work
• If you are required to work out of town and spend the night you will be given an allowance for food each day.
