SUMMARY
We are seeking a Commercial Structured Cable Technician for an opportunity in Chapel Hill, NC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation, termination, testing and troubleshooting of Cat 6 cables.
- Work with various cable that include but are not limited to: twisted pair, coax, power limited tray, stranded, solid conductor low voltage, Category 5, Category 6, single and multi -mode fiber optic cables.
- Installation of ladder racks, J-hooks, wireless access points, patch panels etc.
- Working in commercial environments (schools, government facilities, warehouses, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS
- Full PPE required (Hard hat, work boots, safety vest, glasses, gloves)
- Must have basic cabling hand tools (screw driver, snips, crimper, etc.)
- Basic understanding of structured cabling, knowing the color codes are a plus
- Comfortable working on ladders, lift certification is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Chapel Hill, NC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Cabling: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
