Your Role
- Work together with our team creating highly scalable and fault tolerant technical designs.
- Work on developing various backend low latency, high availability services.
- Develop and implement data pipelines that extracts, transforms and loads data into an information product that helps to inform the organization in reaching strategic goals.
- Write high-quality code, conduct and participate in code reviews, and follow strong engineering principles and standards. Research the technical feasibility of new ideas.
- Write maintainable code that can scale fast.
- Support and contribute to our amazing work culture.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a computer science program (bachelors or Masters). Good understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, algorithms and their complexities.
- Knowledge of relational databases e.g MySQL is a plus.
- Comfortable writing code with either C++ or Scala and Python.
- Good understanding of C++ STL libraries and familiarity with Boost.
- Willing to learn additional languages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
We do understand that working students usually don’t have a huge experience to show for. Hence the difficulty of our interview will be set appropriately.
The hiring process will involve a roughly 60 minute initial introduction + technical interview that involves questions about C++ Language concepts, OOP, and other engineering related concepts. Later, the candidate will receive a coding challenge followed by the final technical interview. This interview will be primarily a Q/A session regarding the project implementation in order to understand the depth of the candidate’s knowledge regarding the above mentioned requirements.
