Salary Range
$63,500 – $122,100
- Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like
We are seeking Subcontract Managers to support various Procurement organizations within Sandia National Laboratories.
- On any given day, you be called on to:
- Oversee the administration of high-value contracts from placement through final closeout.
- Partner with members of Sandia’s scientific, engineering, supply, legal, and financial communities to identify opportunities and challenges that can or should be addressed through the acquisition process.
- Manage supplier performance, interactions, communications, and relationships.
- Leads and documents complex source selection decisions.
Selected applicants will be interviewed by a subcommittee of managers and staff. Subsequently, successful applicants will be provided to managers for placement in positions across multiple organizations.
The positions have the following various work options available:
Telecommuting – This position be eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Virtual Work – This position be eligible for virtual work. The selected applicant can be a virtual worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location be required.
Qualifications We Require
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Equivalent experience in lieu of degree must be directly related experience that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a required DOE L-level security clearance.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.

- Willing to take initiative, take ownership of job responsibilities, and make appropriate decisions to complete tasks.
- Excellent analytical, facilitation, and decision analysis skills.

Security Clearance
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
