Directional Drilling Supervisor
Description
The Supervisor – Civil Construction provides supervision and leadership to hourly employees in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the work performed by the operators is accurate, timely, complete, and compliant with customer specifications.

Job Responsibilities:
· Thorough working knowledge of all operations and equipment in the directional drilling unit
· Train and develop staff to fullest potential, daily coaching and interaction with employees
· Monitor and document individual employee performance
· Maintain daily work records and monitor daily yields
· Maintain a tour ready work area
· Ensure compliance on the job site of applicable processes and procedures
· Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are being followed within the division
· Communicate with clients in a professional and productive manner
· Update all job-related documentation and file accordingly
· Be available to operate directional drilling and locating equipment if required
Requirements:
· Minimum one-year experience managing or supervising a work crew
· ARZ driver’s license is the minimum requirement needed
· Experience laying out running lines, reading blueprints, and understanding locates
· Must have and maintain a clean driver’s abstract
· Must possess and exhibit strong safety acumen and demonstrate safe work practices
· Minimum two years directional drilling and locating experience
· Previous experience in telecommunications is an asset
· Mechanical inclination an asset
· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
· Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner
Essential Physical Functions
· Hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
· Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl.
· Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
· Must be able to work in all outdoor elements (rain, snow, heat) for extended periods of time.
· Confined Space Entry may be required to accomplish tasks for some clients when applicable.
· Be able to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
· Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.
· Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.
· Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
