Job Summary Join Comcast NBCUniversal West Division to deliver the best most innovative solutions technology has to offer. Seeking leaders in the Houston region to join the Network Maintenance team to help deliver a world class customer experience. Responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the Network Maintenance Technicians who optimize and maintain our expansive Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) and fiber infrastructure. Embody and drive change Management. Develops strong, trusting relationships with each team member. Sets priorities for the team, works with employees to create motivating goals, assigns tasks and checks work performance at regular intervals. Establishes and implements procedures, performance standards and best practices. Develops and trains staff by identifying promising individuals ready to learn new skills, and/or are ready for new opportunities and roles. Resolves customer inquiries in an organized and timely fashion. Recognizes and celebrates strong individual and team performance. Job Description

Core Responsibilities:
Empowers the team (of direct reports) to perform to the best of their abilities. Delegates duties and responsibilities to optimize team performance.

Plays a key role in Change Management communicating a clear vision to inspire the team and ensure successful and timely implementation.

Embodies our values focusing on team member development, provides timely feedback, coaches to performance excellence, and develops team norms and behaviors.

Enforces performance and safetystandards and guidelines for Field Operations. Implements/monitors ongoing work safety programs in compliance with OSHA standards.

Analyzes operations and performances to assure operational efficiencies through productivity, quality control, customer satisfaction and trouble calls on installs.

Coordinates vehicle preventative and corrective maintenance.

Resolves customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Orders supplies and equipment and keeps accurate records.

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Works within manufacturer’s rated weight capacity for all equipment, including but not limited to ladders and aerial lifts.

Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime, as necessary.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Highly preferred industry experience in Telecommunications, Cable, Fiber, HFC, Broadband, Radio Frequency (RF) experience but not required. Along with proven leadership and management skill and experience

Personnel Management experience:
Solid ability to drive Change Management

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Emotional Intelligence

Conflict resolution and team building

Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Database Software

Requirement – this role is an essential role; candidates must reside within 1 hour of the Houston office and be able to work nights and weekends as needed and on a 24/7 on-call rotation*

Physical requirements include lifting 70 LBs, carrying ladders, and working in adverse weather conditions.

Education

Associate’s Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
