Role: Systems Analyst/ Field Services Technician

Duration: At least until end of fiscal year ( 2023), with likelihood of extension

Hours: 36.25HR Work Week/7.25HR Work Day

Location: 100% On-Site (In one of several locations, including: Mississauga, Cambridge/London, Peterborough, & Oshawa)

This is an exciting opportunity with one of TEKsystems’ clients within the Government of Ontario’s Ministries. They’re looking for a Systems Analyst/Field Services Technician to provide additional support on their largest projects for technical expertise in the radio and telephony industries to help with the current upgrade and implementation of all centers across the province. Experience & Skillset Requirements:

• To provide technical expertise, project leadership and coordination of activities in the development, implementation and maintenance of a diverse range of cost effective I&IT solutions.
• To provide technical advice to clients and leverage OPS I&IT solutions and applications to meet program/service goals and objectives ensuring efficiency.

Top Skills:

• Strong radio technology or telephony systems experience
• Avaya, IPSec, or CTI experience
• Experience in UHF VHF testing
• Must be comfortable working in a ticketing environment
• Project Management experience

Must Haves:

• Knowledge of systems analysis and design methods and techniques to develop system solutions and to manage servers and applications
• Demonstrated knowledge of testing and implementation methods and practices for testing and acceptance
• Experience in the application of theories, principles and practices of voice, data, radio, information technology and satellite telecommunications engineering.
• Experience with Local Area Network and various network topologies/configurations
• Experience with systems and business operational disciplines and processes; skills in negotiation, conflict and problem resolution, change management and project coordination; current knowledge in new technologies and trends that benefit emergency health services.
• Ability to use basic Radio Frequency test equipment such as multi-meter, voltmeter, system monitor or analyzer.
