JOB SUMMARY

Brooksource is searching for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our Fortune 75 Telecommunications client in the Charlotte, NC area. This Project Manager will manage the entire software development project lifecycle from project definition through implementation. This resource will be responsible for working alongside team members of all levels to work through high level projects, including exciting new initiatives, in the Customer Operations group.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

· Strong experience within technical project management (Software Application Development specific)

· Knowledge in Java, Web Services, APIs, data reporting

· Experience coordinating/tracking projects through all phases of the SDLC

· Ability to manage multiple projects at a time (Multitasking)

· Ability to query within a database (familiarity with SQL, Oracle, etc.)

· Ability to stay focused while preforming several steps or processes simultaneously

· Ability to follow and implement established change and control policies and procedures

· Knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word

· 3-7 years of experience within the industry

· Previous telecommunications experience is highly preferred

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Accountable for agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures

· Develops project plan and drives project milestones

· Establishes an effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders

· Communicate with Stakeholders

· Provides day to day direction to project resources

· Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project

· Responsible for preparation of documentation, status reports and budgets

· Requires excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, project planning, judgement skills, leadership abilities, decision making, analysis and problem solving skills

Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
