We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with telecommunications, broadband industry experience. This candidate will be responsible for the effective management of all designated projects including planning, scheduling, coordination of project deliverables and achievement of milestones. Fast-paced environment working with a cross-functional project team including stakeholders, both internal and external team members and third-party contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Review site surveys of telecommunications & broadband industry facility equipment
- Schedule and report milestone status
- Proactively supervise and enforce construction progress, quality standards, and project schedules
- Provide written and accurate planning and support, administering construction bid and invoice approval processes, including construction change orders in accordance with Quest’s policies
- Review and red-line construction drawings prior to release to general contractors
- Work with general contractors to assure all materials and equipment are timely ordered to support the construction schedule
- Verifying general contractors are complying to all Quest quality standards and specifications and completing tasks, including submittal of closeout documentation, in allotted timeframes
- Resolve any field related issues impacting construction or integration
- Work directly with the customer to provide comprehensive job status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure that all jobs are documented and maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy.
- Prepare hardware and services quotes along with detailed scope of work to meet customer requirements
- Support sales team with revenue growth by providing technical advice and analysis.
Other important skills & attributes:
- Knowledge of construction services: Telco, power, fiber, basic construction, vendor equipment requirements.
- Exceptional communication and written skills with attention to details
- Self-directed and motivated
- Solid organizational skills, including time-management
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong customer service orientation
- Intermediate to Advanced level on Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Must be able to pass security background and drug test at time of hire and submit to random testing of both during employment period.
Education & Experience:
- BS degree preferred, but demonstrated industry experience will also be considered.
- Experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, plus 5+ years of Project Management or Account Management experience and 3+ years of relevant telecommunications or information technology experience including installation of equipment at customer premises and outside plant engineering/construction.
- Strong conflict management skills and ability to make decisions which impact project financials and operations processes
- Excellent customer relationship management skills.
- PMP or other comparable Project Management Certificate is preferred.
This is an office-based position in Palmetto, FL.
