Technical Project Manager – Core & IMS

Location: REMOTE, anywhere in the USA

Duration : 12 Months Project, extension likely

Pay: $99K to $104K W2, may consider Corp to Corp

Status: Must be US Citizen or Green Card

Reports To: Project Manager

Working Hours: Normal business hours, may work occasional maintenance windows

Summary/Objective:

Glow Networks is a telecommunication staffing and consulting company based in Dallas, TX. We are seeking a Project Manager who can take leadership of a project, grow in the role technically, and communicate effectively. PMP is desired, but not required. You will balance technical requirements, team logistics, and schedules to meet customer requirements. Your ability to manage the customer relationship while representing Nokia is critical to your success.

Responsibilities and tasks for the role include:

Primary Functions:

· Manage Core Networks deployment, while mitigating risk for the customer.

· Ensure that the project contract management process is initiated and executed.

· Define the customization of global operational processes together with relevant point of contacts to meet project requirements (for example, network operations, supply chain, logistics, and acceptance).

· Manage the customer relationship during delivery and serve as the primary interface with the customer

· Manage customer complaints, changing requirements and corrective actions, while avoiding “scope creep”

· Prepare a clear and effective communications plan, and ensure proactive communication of all relevant information to the customer and to all stakeholders

Additional Functions:

· Monitor and controls that the project is delivered within the approved budget, profitability forecast, and planned scope.

· Ensure that the project meets all objectives for quality and looks continuously for quality improvement and customer satisfaction.

· Actively apply appropriate best practices and lessons learned throughout the life of the project. Monitors, controls and reports KPIs defined in customer contract.

· Ensure data in all project-related tools and repositories is accurate up-to-date

· Conduct thorough risk management for all project risks and opportunities

· Identify new opportunities to expand and renew contracts with the customer

· Lead the project team and may perform some line manager responsibilities.

· Complete the project closure and handover as required, and include: Complete contractual requirements, post calculation and, lessons learned

Working Conditions:

· Will work remotely from any US state or territory

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelors degree with 5-8 plus years of recent, strong Telecom Project Management experience

· Basic understanding or Packet Core, VNF concepts, 5G, and AWS integration and deployment.

· PMP desired, must have solid telecom core networks PM experience

· Knowledge of IMS/SDL concepts and architecture, including PCRF and HSS elements will be helpful

· Project Management experience with a telecom service provider or OEM, customer delivery and deployment skills

· Strong, capable leadership in tense situations

· Represent Nokia while managing customer expectations and service requests

· Managing the engineering team and project deliverables

• Provide status reports, and conduct calls with clients and engineering teams
