Technical Project Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA REMOTE
Salary: $67.23-$70.03/hr.

Description of Role

SRI Telecom is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with relevant broadband ISP engineering & technical project experience to contribute to all areas of expertise with various cross functional project teams. Leads smaller and/or less complex projects under close to moderate supervision. Using your strong Excel knowledge, you will download current milestone data from workflow tools and process the information to help you engineers know where they need to focus to keep the projects moving. You may even present your data and your dashboards to upper management.

Your past Telecommunications industry experience, specifically delivering outside plan construction projects (fiber, coax) will help you shine because of your fundamental understanding of how it all works!


Responsibilities

  • Manages the development and implementation of projects/programs requiring technical experience &/or education (IT/Engineering) to meet business process initiatives, process improvement, product launches, other strategies and objectives.
  • Analyzes existing project management methods to promote effective operations through standardization, improvement, simplification, discontinuance, or other methods. Conducts risk assessments, facilitates communication across operational groups, and ensures compliance with the defined process and/or implementation.
  • Can conduct technical process analysis ensuring the proper management and implementation of changes to the production environment.
  • Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers
  • Initiates, plans, executes, and controls project efforts that utilize technological solutions.
  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
  • Develops and executes management plans for time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement and integration.
  • Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures 9-Sets and manages client expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes.
    • Evaluates the impacts and risks of changes from multiple perspectives, assigns tasks that are necessary to reduce or eliminate those considerations, determines tentative implementation dates, and tracks results of the implementation.
  • Develops methods to measure customer satisfaction; obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meeting customer expectations for time, cost, and results.
  • Contributes to implementation success and technical system stability by using change methodologies that assure the reliability of business and operations information management systems.


Skills

  • Aptitude and Attitude are key.
  • Must be able to speak to your experience managing many fast-moving projects concurrently.
  • Must be able to speak to your experience driving projects to completion.
  • Must be able to speak to your experience keeping project calls on point and squashing rabbit holes.
  • Must be able to track and report on milestones, what is a risk of missing and why.
  • Must be able to speak to your experience managing large amounts of data in Excel.
  • Must have strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and personable.
  • Experience reading GNIS/MyWorld is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Telecommunications industry experience preferred, specifically delivering outside plan construction projects (fiber, coax)


Work Schedule

Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm working from home.

Salary

This position pays an average of $68.63/hr. depending on experience.
