Job Title: Technical Project Manager – Network Planning I
Location: Kansas (Remote)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops project plans that integrate the schedules of functional groups to provide a time-based, realistic expectation for a given project to successfully complete.
  • Communicates regularly with the project team and stake holders through scheduled meetings, individual conversations, email correspondence, instant messaging, collaboration websites, and distribution of timely meeting minutes.
  • Updates team and company systems such as NNSTT, CCM, eFlow, and Metasolv, etc., as necessary to provide current status. Aligns groups toward a common goal and empowers them by providing status and information that enable them to be successful in delivering project objectives.
  • May prepare, assist with, or give executive briefings for senior leadership on high visibility projects or programs.
  • Tracks and manages action items and holds responsible individuals or groups accountable for deliverables.
  • Incorporates action items into project schedule to ensure deliverables are met on time.
  • Takes a proactive approach to each project to identify and understand risks and engage appropriate support before risks negatively affect the project deliverable (for example, impacts to scope, schedule or cost.)
  • Develops risk mitigation plans as necessary to mitigate risk during the project.
  • Read and understand the technical Scope(s) of Work issued by Network Planning and the related Engineering Design Packages to grasp the architecture, topology, and technology involved in the project.
  • Understand and identify up front, with the aid of the project team, dependencies and interactions that must be managed for successful on-time completion.
  • Work with project teams to develop alternative solutions when necessary, identify early on when expedited activity is required, and drive true escalations if needed to keep projects on plan.
  • Embraces the responsibility to make their project teams successful and accountable. Builds the relationships necessary to foster near term and long term success.
  • Openly and regularly recognizes team members for their contributions and successes and thanks those that go above and beyond to meet difficult objectives.
  • May assist in defining Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), developing processes, policies and procedures, or assisting with peer training or mentoring. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and/or 2 or more years of telecommunications, engineering, or technical project management experience.
  • Must be proficient with program, project, and quality management methodologies. Demonstrated ability to perform simple to moderate process and analytical analysis. Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong working knowledge of MS Project, SureTrak or equivalent project management software.
  • Formal project management training through an accredited project management education provider.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI) or a similar certification.
  • This position will support the migration of software, network connectivity and associated data from one physical location to a different location in a different state, while not impacting ongoing data requirements during the transition.ProjectC

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: Up to $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
