Job objectives and responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Services and Sector Marketing, you will join a community of strong marketers each covering key disciplines of marketing and a team dedicated to developing a deep understand of their dedicated Business Units, and working in collaboration producing and executing market leading plans. Creating the strategy and then working with our Marketing Centres of Excellence to activate together we will create opportunities and deliver ROI. This role will significantly contribute to the growth of the Technical Services division, and therefore be pivotal to the performance of the Group.

This is a high-visibility, high impact opportunity that allows you to exercise your strategic thinking, stakeholder collaboration and creative marketing skills and experience. We are looking for a team player with a confident approach who is comfortable engaging with senior Director level stakeholders and working under their own initiative in a proactive and impactful way.

Role Objectives

The key objectives include:

  • Create and deliver a marketing strategy and plan to reinforce our market leading position of delivering engineering, energy, telecoms, projects and data driven facilities management and decarbonisation solutions to our Technical Services customers.
  • Plan and lead the development, management and creation of lead generation, client retention and brand awareness marketing initiatives.
  • Build solid relationships with business stakeholders to understand commercial objectives and develop of a robust pipeline of ‘pursuits’ in these key sectors.

Main Duties

  • Conceptualise, create through collaboration and manage clear and concise multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure a consistency of approach, delivery and messaging strategy, utilising templated plans and activity where appropriate.
  • Liaise with the wider marketing team to deliver maximum impact for our cross sector / Plc campaigns i.e. Science of Service, Mitie Decarbonise, Technology/Connected Workspace and IFM to align capabilities and make our offers consistent internally and externally.
  • Lead the divisions marketing strategy and activity, aligning to stakeholder priorities and ultimately driving growth
  • Analyse existing industry, sector and key client data to inform and improve key marketing activities

Person Specification

We’re seeking an experienced Marketing Lead to join Mitie’s Services and Sector Marketing team. A key player, contributing to the growth of the company, you will be professional, clear thinking, positive under pressure, results driven with a commercial approach, and a ‘can do’ attitude.

  • You will have 5+ years in a similar mid to senior marketing role. Experience in Telecoms, Engineering, Projects, Energy or wider Facilities Management a significant advantage.
  • Qualifications in marketing or business an advantage.
  • You will be analytically minded but also creative in approach.
  • Commercial mindset able to understand and apply commercial acumen when creating and delivering marketing activities
  • Fluent in English with excellent copy, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable self-motivation, independent initiative, highly organised, strong attention to detail, great project management, and creative problem-solving.
  • A team player and effective relationship builder who is passionate and collaborative with great interpersonal skills.
  • A strategic thinker who can demonstrate broad awareness of issues, events and activities and an understanding of their long-term impact or wider implication
