JOB FUNCTION:

Fiber Telecommunication Worker will work with a team to pull and install communication cable and related components in residential or commercial work sites.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (including but not limited to)

• Route fiber communication cable with minimal supervision
• Good mechanical aptitude – working with hand tools and power equipment
• Working with other team members to meet daily and weekly installation targets
• Maintaining professional attitude and always represent our company in a positive light
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST:

• Possess a High School GED or equivalent
• Be able to distinguish colours
• Be able to work 40 – 44 hours a week and overtime if required
• Be able to work for extended periods on their feet
• Be fluent with and capable of using Windows and Microsoft Office in a professional environment
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language
• Own CSA approved steel toed work boots and hard hat
• Supply basic personal tools once on the job
• Have reliable transportation and hold a minimum of a G-license with a clean driving record
• Able to work in various climates and conditions
• Be capable of physical labour with the ability to routinely and without limitation lift tools and materials – occasionally 50 – 75 lbs
• Able to work overhead – without limitation
• Comfortable with working at heights and in confined spaces
• Be bondable with a clean Criminal Background Check
• Be capable and willing to wear proper PPE, including Covid 19 related PPE without restriction
